RUX Rides: BC Overland Rally Edition

Posted by Chris Fleugel on

We spend this past weekend at the BC Overland Rally chatting all things overland, offroad vehicles, and of course, GEAR. Throughout the day the event grounds were filled with workshops, seminars, and trail rides. The evenings were spent around the campfire sharing tips, tricks, and tales of the road less traveled. What better way to get to see all the epic builds and meet all the people behind them in a special edition BCOR RUX Rides.

Meet Alan and Amy (@fourseasonexplorer) from Port Alberni and their custom built International Expedition RV. Fully self-built, this rig is equipped for a lifetime on the road…

1994 Land Cruiser

Meet Rob from Vancouver Island and his 1994 79 Series HZJ75 Land Cruiser. At RUX, we’re suckers for a clean Land Cruiser and boy, did this ever scratch the itch.

Mario from AT Overland (@atoverland). AT Overland is based out of Prescott AZ. This is his Aterra XLF camper on top of his custom RAM 3500.

While we’re on the subject of expedition vehicles, we have to include this absolutely huge Bliss Mobile Man Truck. The owners (from Germany) drove cross Canada and are on their way to the southern tip of South America. Despite the apartment on wheels, they didn’t have room for us to tag along, ha!

Meet Jackie Sun‘s (@cruiserdaddy) ‘97 lx450. With a fully rebuilt engine and suspension, it sits on 37” tires. Talk about a dream vehicle…

By far one of the most unique rigs at the Rally was this 6x6 Pinzgauer built for the Austrian Military.
